About Our Church

In November, 2002, the men and women who were Desert Surprise UCC met to discern the values which would shape this new and growing faith community. From those values, a statement of mission was written. Today, we continue to ask God to help us find the courage to live out, with faithfulness and diligence, this timeless commitment:

Our diverse community is nurtured by God’s Word. So we choose to love, respect and accept all people unconditionally, as we are taught by Jesus. We strive to be a strong and affirming presence for those in physical, emotional and spiritual need. We value creativity and laughter as gifts of God.

All people are welcome in this church without regard to gender, race, ethnicity, economic or social status, or sexual orientation.
